Post-tensioning Systems using strands as the core component had been diligently pioneered, developed and installed by BBV Systems’ engineers in Germany for more than three decades.
Many tasks in the field of civil engineering including bridges, buildings and industrial construction projects demand for the application of pre-stressed or post-tensioned concrete members.
BBV Systems provides the required know how and related systems to put solutions properly into practice. Customers may choose between pre-fabricated or in situ systems. Our systems are fully developed pt-systems that have been designed to meet highest international standards. Our approvals are based on code DIN EN 1045-1 and ETAG 013, a guideline for the approval of pt systems issued by the European Organization for Technical Approvals (EOTA).

BBV Li INTERNAL BOUNDED PT SYSTEM

The BBV Bonded Multi-Strand P.T. System ranges from BBV Li1 through BBV Li31. The relating numbers of seven-wire steel strands diameter 0.60" or 0.62", grade Y1860S7 are bundled to tendons with allowable stressing forces up to 75% of the ultimate tensile steel strength. For non-standard applications BBV provides specific components such as flat slab anchors, bond anchors, and intermediate or loop anchors in combination with fixed or movable couplings.
BBV Lo INTERNAL UNBOUNDED PT SYSTEM

The BBV Unbonded Multi-Strand P.T. System consists of BBV Lo1 through BBV Lo5, i.e. one to five numbers of strands of sheathed and greased seven-wire steel diameter 0.60" or 0.62" and steel grades up to Rm =1,860 N/mm2. In near future, the system range will be extended to up to nine numbers of strands. Typical fields of application for the unbonded strand system, which is re-stressable and replaceable, are flat slabs, bridge decks, silos and towers.
BBV Le EXTERNAL PT SYSTEM

Derived from segmental construction techniques external post-tensioning systems have been developed and established to serve various construction purposes. The BBV External P.T. System EMR covers force requirements of up to 3,300 kN per tendon, the new BBV External P.T. System E covers force requirements up to 6,300 kN. Both systems are designed to allow for re-stressing as well as replacement of tendons.
BBV L STRAND ANCHOR SYSTEM

BBV Systems offers a great variety of quality products for all kinds of geotechnical construction projects including soil and rock stabilization, retaining walls, uplift anchorages, construction pits, tie rods, rock bolts, and pile tests.
BBV Strand Anchors for permanent works with extensive corrosion protection are certified by the German Institute for Building Engineering. Prefabricated anchors are assembled and the bond length pre-grouted at BBV production facilities prior to transport and installation on site.
BBV Strand Anchors for temporary works will be manufactured and configured according to national codes or specifications and as ordered by our clients. Corrosion protection measures can be implemented as required.
